Advanced Certified ScrumMaster® (A-CSM) Training

Code: 1823 Category: Tag:

“Scrum is simple, but Scrum is hard.”

The Advanced CSM certification is to grow experienced Scrum Masters to a higher level of effectiveness.

This Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) training program is designed to help move beyond using Scrum merely as a process, and address the most common issues that arise in an Agile environment.

In this interactive workshop participants will acquire tools and knowledge in: the principles of Agile facilitation, coaching fundamentals, self-organization, service to the team, resolving impediments, scaling scrum, organizational change, and servant leadership. This training is led by Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainers (CSTs).

Timothy Korson
Carlton Nettleton

This program is the next step towards achieving the Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification, recognizing your professional experience and deep education in agile methods.
The program will also qualify for 16 Scrum Alliance SEUs
To participate in the ACSM event, you must already hold the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) credential with the Scrum Alliance.
To qualify for the ACSM designation, you must attend this event, and also demonstrate 12 months of collective experience using agile methods.
Pre-course preparation is required to gain the most from the program. This will include reading materials and a personal review of your own experience using Scrum.
Clear your schedule to be fully present during the training hours; if a participant misses more than 30 minutes of the class, they will not be eligible to be certified. Should your schedule prevent you from attending the entire class, our team will work with you to schedule another class on a different date.
Taking an Advanced CSM course, meeting the 7 learning objectives, and accepting the license agreement designates you as an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster. There is no exam.
The Certified Scrum Trainer, leading your class, will register your attendance with the Scrum Alliance, after which you will receive an email from them with your certification.
How to do I receive my ACSM® certificate after the training is complete?
Your Certified Scrum Trainer (instructor) will register you for certification after you have fully participated in the 2-day training. Be certain that you provide your instructor with the same email address used for your Scrum Alliance account, so that the prerequisites are all together in the system. Please confirm your Scrum Alliance login information is working before class begins.
How do I “demonstrate 12 months of experience” to qualify for the ACSM®?
You will need to log your hours in to your Scrum Alliance account (likely set up when you received your CSM® certification). To do this, go to your “Certification Dashboard” under “Settings” at the top right of the screen. Under the profile picture, select to “Edit” your certification profile. Scroll down to “Add/edit” your work experience.
What if I now have two certification profiles with Scrum Alliance (I used two different log ins for different certification trainings, and ended up with a profile split in to two accounts)?
Please submit a “Membership Account Questions” inquiry online and provide them with the following information:
1. Email address for both profiles
2. Usernames for both profiles
3. The email address that you would like to use for both profiles
Once they have all this information they will be able to combine your profiles and send you the correct, updated login information.
The Advanced Certified Scrum Master Certification is valid for 2 years. Beginning Feb 2019, renewal requirements include obtaining 30 Scrum Education Units and a $175 renewal fee..
